Visual inspection

The visual inspection is a test that allows to put in evidence any geometric, dimensional and of operation anomalies of a given component under construction or in service.

The test may be conducted mainly in two different ways:
  • Direct visual examination, where the operator has direct access to the component to test and, with the help of suitable gauges and appropriate lighting, analyze the piece;
  • Remotized visual examination, where the operator (due to the structure of the piece) must make use of certain equipments (borescopes, endoscopes, etc.) to be able to analyze it.
For remotized testings Rovergamma has a handheld video endoscope.
