Visual inspection
The visual inspection is a test that allows to put in evidence any geometric, dimensional and of operation anomalies of a given component under construction or in service.
The test may be conducted mainly in two different ways:

- Direct visual examination, where the operator has direct access to the component to test and, with the help of suitable gauges and appropriate lighting, analyze the piece;
- Remotized visual examination, where the operator (due to the structure of the piece) must make use of certain equipments (borescopes, endoscopes, etc.) to be able to analyze it.
